A to Z Challenge – Reflection

Sorry, kids… I meant to do this post yesterday. Actually, there’s a lot I meant to do over the weekend that I just wound up putting off. Funny how that works…

Yeah, my intention was to do this reflection thing yesterday, then get back into my regular schedule today. I was gonna watch Avengers and then get ready to get ready for my usual Buffy and Angel posts for tomorrow, maybe throw in a Life Story installment on Wednesday. Maybe I still will… Depends on how I’m feeling when I get caught up on all the things I should have done Saturday.

Well, this was my first year to participate in the A to Z Challenge. I learned about the challenge after reading a post over at No Love for Fatties, and I love a good challenge. It was kind of fun to watch all of these movies, some of which I had not seen in a very long time. And there are only a couple that I really cheated on. And, by cheating, I mean I didn’t actually watch them for the posts I wrote for them. Example: The Vanishing, which I could only find from a horrible upload on YouTube. I tried watching it. But it grated on my nerves.

Here’s a list of all the movies that I went through in April…

I’m looking forward to trying this again next year. It’s already been suggested that I do movies again, but that I limit myself only to Disney movies. And it’s funny that was brought up because I already had that in the back of my mind. That’s why you’ll notice a distinct lack of Disney movies on the above list.

The question, when the time comes, will be: do I stick with movies that are strictly Disney productions or am I allowed to branch out into studios that now fall under the Disney umbrella? If the latter is the case… that means I can dip into 20th Century Fox, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Miramax, Touchstone Pictures, etc. That might make it a little easier if I allow myself to do such a thing. Because, really… how many other movies begin with a Q?

  1. TBH, I hated the A to Z challenge because it was annoying and unnecessary! Just because some other blogger challenges you to do a theme of some sort, doesn’t mean you have to accept it and milk it for all its worth! #SorryNotSorry

    • Uh… Thanks? You’re right. I didn’t have to accept the challenge. Though, honestly, I don’t really think I milked anything. My stats didn’t exactly skyrocket because I participated in someone else’s challenge. They really didn’t take a hit either. No one forced me to do anything. It’s my blog, I felt like participating, and I had a good time with it. You’re allowed to think it was a waste of time, and that’s fine for you. But, just like no one forced me to take the challenge, no one is forcing you to keep up with it, either. If you don’t like what I’m posting, you don’t have to read it. Thanks for your input, though. I’ll keep that in mind next year when I’m deciding whether or not to do the A to Z Challenge.
