Tuesday evening I was having a hard time coming up with something to blog about. I’m sticking with that whole blogging every day thing for as long as I can. I’ve still got a streak going and I just don’t want to break it unless I absolutely have no choice.
So I took to the Twitter, asking if anyone had any ideas for me. T over at No Love for Fatties is actually the only one who responded. Unfortunately, it was after I’d already decided to write up yesterday’s Thank You Notes post.
YES! Write something happy and funny and not about the situation we are living in right now

Haha Okies! Well next time cupcakes and rainbows please!

So I got to thinking about cupcakes and rainbows…
And I’m going to say something that’s likely to make me unpopular. I don’t really like cupcakes all that much.
But, bear in mind, this is coming from the guy that doesn’t like chocolate, either. I really don’t have much of a sweet tooth. That’s what it really boils down to.
I do like cake. The part that irritates me is the icing. And the way they make cupcakes these days, they’re about 82% icing. A cupcake might be the opposite of an iceberg. Most of the mass is on top, while there’s just a little bit of cake under the surface.
I just find that icing is too sweet. Sometimes it hurts my teeth. And then there’s the issue of having facial hair and trying to eat a cupcake. I mustache the question: do you have any idea how difficult it is to clean all that icing out of a mustache? It’s not pleasant.
Those who like icing could argue that the mustache thing then becomes a flavor saver and you can keep on enjoying that sweet taste long after the cupcake is eaten. But… no… it’s just not for me.
Like I said, I like the cake. So I guess I’d be more of a muffin man. A muffin man. A muffin man.
I’ve always been a fan of a good blueberry muffin. Though I don’t think I’ve really strayed too far beyond that particular flavor. Wow… I’m not very good at this, am I?
Rainbows are still cool though. I always like trying to guess if the conditions are just right for a rainbow to appear before I actually see one in the sky, then turning to where my mind knows it should be and seeing it. It’s like winning a bet with myself.
And I like the mnemonic device, ROY G BIV, to help us remember the order of the colors in a rainbow. But… uh… is indigo really a color? Are we just making that up. Someone help me out. It doesn’t fit on the color wheel I made in my painting class during my junior year of high school.
That was a fun class. Man, did I have a crush on our student teacher that semester. I might have asked her to the prom. You know, if I’d been the kind of person who went to prom. Or asked girls on dates. Or talked to women I find attractive in general.
I’m pretty sure I’ve derailed. But there you are, T. Cupcakes. Rainbows. The floor is now open to discussion. Please keep all rebuttals to a limit of five minutes.

YAS! Amazing!!
Okies, I am a cupcake person! I love cupcakes!! I have hear that if you break the top part off, and flip it upside down, so that it’s like cake/frosting/cake it’s better! Cos then you get a more spread out frosting experience. I LOVE frosting! I legit have a craving to walk myself down to the grocery store right now and just buy a container of frosting. Eat it one spoonful at a time LOL BUT I WILL NOT!!! I’m not shopping again until the 4th and that’s that! But then I’ll get some because my birthday will be shortly after and I wants it. Yes, that s is supposed to be on the end of want.
I still use that ROY G BIV thing to figure out the rainbow colours. Right on!
Thanks for brightening my day!

My brother refuses to eat cupcakes. He will eat cake, just not cupcakes. Yes, he’s an oddball.

I had never heard the color thing about Rainbows. Thank you.

Why is this the first time I’m learning of ROY B GIV? I always wondered how people seemed to know the order of the colours. What other secrets don’t I know??

Well… I will admit the title threw me off! However, I love the blog streak. I also think it may just be that we all need take a step back and get to know each other. I’m wondering if we really know some of the details of people’s likes and dislikes. I have talk to you for almost over a year on a weekly, but had no idea about blueberry muffins. I knew about the whole cupcake thing… The cake versus icing debate wasn’t new. The only reason I say that is because I was going to have cupcakes or cake with no icing for your birthday supervision. So now I know it will be a make up supervision with blueberry muffins.
I guess my real point is let this be a time where we all get to know each other a little deeper with specific details of likes vs dislikes.
