Would you rather be happy yet slow-witted and unimaginative or unhappy yet bright and creative? For example, would you rather live the life of a brilliant yet tortured artist like Vincent van Gogh, or that of a happy but carefree soul who is a bit simple-minded?
I’d rather go for bright and creative, even if it only comes with misery. But isn’t that typically how it is anyway? I mean, isn’t it the intelligent among us who get frustrated when forced to deal with others’ blissful ignorance?
I’m not saying I’d want to reach a point where I’d cut off my own ear or anything. But I think I’d be okay dealing with a bit of a tortured soul.
What about you? Do you opt for unhappy intelligence or blissful ignorance? Let me know in the comments!

When I was younger and sickly, my parents were informed that I would probably be a vegetable if I survived. Well, I proved that WRONG. But, if I had been, I would prefer to be happy in my own skin and mind.

This is a really good question, and I’m actually split between the two! I think I might think more on this.
