Question of the Week #275

If you could gain any one ability or quality you admire in someone else, what would you choose? Do you think you could develop that ability or quality just be working at it?

Maybe a complete lack of anxiety when faced with new and unfamiliar social situations. Sure would make it easier to make friends in adulthood. I could probably stand to work at it a little more, but just the thought of large crowds after a year of keeping my hands to myself is just… *shudder*.

What about you? Is there a quality or ability you admire in others that you’d like to have? Let me know what you think down in the comments!

  1. I admire those who can still go by their day and be normal on just like 3 hours of sleep. If I don’t get my 8 hours per night at least, I no longer function in the day.
No I don’t think I can work on this. My body is just built that way 😬

  2. Haha funny you should say so because this was also kind of my thing too!

I forgot a very important item at the grocery store yesterday while I was shopping. So today I had to go back. I went in and I’m in “weekend clothes/wig” and no makeup so I already felt SO anxious. I could run into anyone from work haha. But also, I’m waiting to be contacted by someone from the store’s complaint department so every time I go in, if the manager see me, he’ll talk to me. And on top of that, he is very attractive. Which just adds so much more anxiety to my trip! And of course he was there, and at one point RIGHT BEHIND ME but thankfully no conversation. But also I really needed to talk to him to check on my complaint. UGH I want to be the type of person who can deal with stuff like that without spiking her heart rate.

  3. I would love to be some kind of risk taker. Not insane risks, but risks in life, when it comes to just throwing myself into things and taking a chance, etc. I feel like things would be very different if I could manage to do that.
And patience–the patience to create art or to bake, for example.
