What do you like best about your life? Least?
I’ll be honest… because when am I not when it comes to these questions of the week? I have a hard time coming up with what I like best about my life.
I can think of a lot of things I don’t necessarily like about my life at the moment. I’m not thrilled that I live 45 minutes away from my job. I don’t much like that I moved four months ago, I moved again last week, and I’ll likely have to move again in July. I don’t like that I rarely get a chance to see or even talk to people I consider my closest friends. I hate that I’m so incredibly out of shape for a man of my age.
And, yes, I know that these are things that I could change. I should change. When I move again in July, I should move closer to where I work. And I should make it a place that I’ll be content with long-term. As far as being out of shape, eat healthier and exercise, dummy! I know.
I list these things that I’m not happy about, but that doesn’t mean I’m unhappy. But if I’m happy in my life, I should be able to say what I like best about my life, right?
Best… It’s such a strong superlative. Like there’s only one thing I can pick to like about life above all the other things.
Well, despite the commute, I like my job. I like the people I work with. I even like the kids… most of the time. I like the alone time I seem to constantly find myself in. I guess that’s the upside to never getting to see my friends anymore.
That was a long answer to not really have an answer.
What about you? What do you like best about your life? Is there something you like least? Let me know in the comments…
