Would you be willing to make a substantial sacrifice to have any of the following: you picture on a postage stamp, your statue in a park, a college named after you, a Nobel prize, a national holiday in your honor?
No… I wouldn’t. Honestly, none of these things appeal to me enough to warrant making a substantial sacrifice, whatever that means.
Not to be incredibly negative or anything… But mail is dying. Statues get pooped on. College’s are ridiculously expensive and the return on investment is questionable. Who remembers Nobel prize winners? And we’ve already got plenty of national holidays, why muck up the calendar with another?
But what about you? Would you be willing to make some sort of substantial sacrifice for any of those things? Just because I think they’re pointless doesn’t mean you won’t think they’re amazing honors. Let me know in the comments!

Absolutely not. To ensure my children’s safety? Then I’m in.
