Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire; after saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be?
I’m not someone that gets sentimental about stuff. Because to me, that’s all it really is: stuff. I don’t know how much stuff I threw away when I was going through Dad’s house after he passed away. I know the city of Roanoke complained a few times because of all the stuff they had to haul away from the curb. I guess a better Christian than I would say they’d go back for their Bible. But I don’t have one of those family heirloom type of Bibles. Don’t get me wrong, I do like my Study Bible all right, but even that is replaceable. I honestly look around my place and can’t think of anything that I couldn’t live without. Losing a lot of that stuff in a fire would be a huge inconvenience, yes, but again, it’s just stuff. It’s easily replaced.
