Would you be willing to become extremely ugly physically if it meant you would live for 1,000 years at any physical age you chose?

Absolutely not. And it’s not a vanity thing. I’m not convinced I’m all that good looking as is. But I wouldn’t want to live for 1,000 years. That’s insane. I have a hard enough time making friends and being social. I can’t imagine having to start over every few years simply because everyone in my circle was getting older while I stayed the same age. And I feel like I sort of explored this question when I saw Age of Adaline.

But the whole thousand years thing leads to other questions. Does that just mean I won’t age in that 1,000 years? Or does it mean I’m invulnerable? Like, could I still die if I’m in a really bad car accident, or does my near immortality come with a mutant healing factor? I’m thinking about it too much, even though my answer would still be no. I imagine it would be depressing to watch the people around you grow old and die while the world keeps spinning and, most likely, getting a little worse with each passing century.

What about you? Ugly or not, would it be worth it to live 1,000 years?
