Do you think that living as if you control your own destiny is a good idea? Do you live that way?
It’s called free will, y’all. I absolutely live this way.

Well, as a Christian, my destiny is pretty much preordained if I follow Gods’ laws. I would hate it if he weren’t in my life and it were only my will.

I’d like to disagree a bit on that one. Every Christian *has* free will. Its why salvation and God’s grace are so important. Life’s choices are not predestined.

This was always a fun theological debate in my Christian studies classes during college… Free will vs. predestination… Is the Christian saved because they chose to believe or are they saved because it was preordained by God from the start?

That’s the main divide between Calvinists and Arminean theology haha respectively: God has prechosen and those he has chosen will be saved vs you have control over your acceptance/openness of salvation
I’ve been raised in the later haha
