Would you like to be elected president of this country? Why? If so, would you still choose to be president if it meant that your sleep would always be very fitful and disturbed, punctuated by frequent nightmares?
Heck no.
I deal with enough drama, I don’t need to be the center of attention for every news cycle in the United States.
I wouldn’t want to hold any public office higher than the local level. I’ll admit, I’ve toyed with the idea of what it could be like to be on town council (when I was living in Blacksburg) or city council (now that I’m living in Roanoke). Until there are serious reforms (such as term limits) in the legislative branch, I wouldn’t want to be a part of a system that is about as broken as it can get and still somehow manage to keep the lights on.
Would you want to be president (or for our friends to the north, Prime Minister… also our friends across the pond…)? Let me know what you think down in the comments!

I used to want to be prime minister! But not anymore lol the first thing I’d do would be to take French off as an official language lol not a very popular first act. There would be a vote of non-confidence within a week!

Well, in Grade 8 I was voted most likely to be Prime Minister of Canada, but I’d never actually want to do it. No matter what you do or say, you’re going to have a group of people who don’t like your decisions, so then you try and compensate to please them in some way, but it’ll be a bit fake and ugh, it would be too much of a headache. Politics are too complicated. And we only have 36 million people here, you have 10x that.

Gosh Paul’s responses are so great 🙂 I’m with you Aaron. You said it best when you said “I deal with enough drama!”
