All right, kids… This post is hitting the interwebs on the last day of March. Which means that the A to Z Challenge officially begins tomorrow!
Hold your applause, please. I know you’re excited. I am, too. Well… I’m as excited as I can get. I’m not a very excitable person.
For those of you just joining us, the A to Z Challenge is a thing that is happening throughout the month of April. Each day, bloggers across the blogosphere are challenged to come up with posts that correspond to that day’s letter of the alphabet. Correction… Each day except Sundays. 30 days in April minus four Sundays equals 26 days and 26 letters.
While themes are not required for one to participate in this challenge, I have decided to go with a movie theme. Each day (minus Sundays) I will post about a movie whose title begins with that day’s corresponding letter. Tomorrow being “A” day, I have chosen to watch and post about Adventures in Babysitting.
I thought about revealing my entire list, but I thought it might be more fun to let you guess each day in the comments what might be coming next. But that’s only gonna be fun if you participate.
As for my other posts… well… I’ve decided to take a break. Taking time to watch and write about a movie every day is going to be time consuming. I may be able to get ahead here and there, but I don’t anticipate that being the norm. So my weekly posts: Question of the Week, Favorite Movie Countdown, Rewatching Buffy & Angel, and Life Story… these are on hiatus during April.
That’s not to say I may not throw in a random post throughout the month when the mood strikes. I may have a serious road rage day and feel the need to vent. Or something crazy might happen in current events and I’m gonna want to share my thoughts. If aliens from the other side of the galaxy make their presence known to the earth on April 12, there’s no way I’m not writing about that just because it’s also the day I’m posting about a movie that begins with the letter K.
If you’ve found my blog for the first time because you’re exploring blogs participating in this year’s challenge, welcome! I’m glad you’re here. I really hope you’re able to find something you like somewhere on this confusing mass of word vomit I call The Confusing Middle. If there’s anything you want to know about me, just click here to find a list of 100 random facts. If what you want to know didn’t make that list, hit me up with questions in the comments. I look forward to hearing from you and to seeing how others are tackling the A to Z Challenge.
All right… time to get going on the movies. Wish me luck!
Nice! I’ve never heard of this challenge, sort of new to blogging. Is it too late to commit?

I don’t think it’s too late. If you go to the A to Z Challenge site, I’m pretty sure you can still sign up to do it through April 6. I think it may be too late to announce a theme, but I say go for it!

Never heard about the A to Z challenge before… At least not in this way. Intriguing though. I am not sure I could officially commit to it at this time, but who knows, maybe something like that gets me back into writing a bit more again? Who knows. Thanks for the inspiration though. I might consider this for myself 🙂 Have a great day.

You’re going to watch each movie as you go along?! DUDE that’s so much work and commitment lol props to you! I can’t wait to see the rest of your list. I already know I haven’t seen the movie for A, or at least I don’t think I have.

haha I was a little too young in the 80’s to get into the “classic 80’s” style of movies I’ll have to wait for your review on it

What a fun theme! So you are going to rewatch a bunch of movies in order to write about them? Best of luck with the challenge!

So much commitment! I wish I could do this!!! But I would be setting myself up for failure! Lol 😂 I don’t think I saw this movie either! But in my defense I was between the ages of 0-9 in the 80s!

Oh yeah! I forgot I pinned this to the top in case other bloggers doing the challenge stumbled over. And… I mean… you don’t have to read them all. Just find the movies I wrote about that you like 😁
