Wildlife

Because today is National Wildlife Day, our Sunday Scribblings prompt for this week is Wildlife. If you decide to write a post based on this week’s prompt, be sure to go back here and share your link so everyone can see how you interpreted things! Here’s what I did with it…

I’m not sure what it is… I’ve just never been all about that wild lifestyle…

I mean, I guess I could have gone through a rebellious phase in my teens or 20s… But I didn’t.

I would say I’ve lingered in more of a tame life.

Oh… that’s not the kind of “wild” life this is meant to invoke? Okay…

Wildlife… is… just… wild… man.

I find documentaries about wild animals to be fascinating. It’s interesting to see wildlife in their natural environments without being disturbed by humans. I mean… I guess it’s possible that the documentarian is disturbing the habitat somewhat, just by being close by. But at least they’re able to cut those films together as if the people and cameras were never really there.

I watched one about elephants on Disney+ not too long ago. It was incredible, the way a mother and her calf remain so close. And that young elephant… what a rascal he was! Ginormous ears that made him fly?! I mean, if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes…

Oh… that’s not actually a documentary? That was Dumbo?

See, this is why we need to stop it with the live-action remakes! They’re just too realistic!

Thanks to everyone who participated this week and shared your links! Please visit their blogs, give them a follow, and take a look at how they interpreted the prompt.

Be sure to come back on Wednesday for the next Sunday Scribblings prompt! Encourage other bloggers to challenge themselves with the prompt! Remember that there are no rules for what you write, other than responding to the prompt! You can write fiction, non-fiction, poetry, prose, biography, instruction… it’s all up to you!
