Question of the Week #287

If you were a role model to millions of children who closely followed you and your life choices, how would you change your behavior? What if only your own kids were noticing you and being affected?

I’d just keep living my life the way I’m living it now. I’m not perfect and I know I make mistakes, but I do the best I can with what I’ve got. Treat others with kindness, the way I’d want to be treated. I realize I’ll mess up because road rage is a thing. But, like I said, I do the best I can.

If I had small people looking up to me, which I have in previous positions in my career, I would hope that they would see exactly that… someone who does his best to make appropriate decisions. But I would also hope that they would have parents that would play that important role model role. Though I’m aware of the reality of the world we live in and there are a lot of cases where we can’t count on parents to actually be parents.

But what about you? How would you change your behavior if you knew others viewed you as a role model? Let me know down in the comments.
