If evidence of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe were discovered, would it alter your core beliefs or sense of self?
Not really.
And I’m ready to accept that there are a lot of things about our world/universe that just cannot be explained. I’m okay with that.
In general, I can be pretty skeptical about the paranormal or the existence of intelligent life beyond earth. But there’s also a lot of evidence out there that just leaves me baffled. So I’m really fine with throwing my hands up or shrugging my shoulders. I can’t have the answers and that’s all right.
But what about you? If extra-terrestrials made themselves obviously known to the people of earth, would it have an effect on your beliefs? On your faith? Let me know in the comments!

I don’t think that it would alter my beliefs at all, like it would be cool to experience but I’m also pretty set in my core values and stuff at this point in my life.

No. The thought of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe causes no ripples in my pond of thought. I’m not sure I believe in the version of aliens our imaginations have come up with but I would be surprised if we were the only life form in such a vast outer space. An artist could never stop with one painting/sculpture/novel. How could the creator of the universe stop with one populated world. Look at the fun he had creating this one.
