Question of the Week #219

What would you do if your 6-year-old daughter’s favorite toy, a talking doll, started trying to convince her that she needed a new friend–the next doll in the company’s line?

One word. Exorcism.

Alternatively, we get some wood, some old newspapers, and maybe some lighter fluid. We start a fire. Then we throw that doll into the fire and let it burn. Then we stand back as the evil spirits fly out of it, so as not to get possessed by said evil spirits.

Because, clearly, that doll is evil and it must be destroyed.

Toys aren’t intended to sell other toys. That’s what commercials and cartoon series from the ’80s are for.

What would you do if faced with a demon doll? Do you agree that drastic measures should probably be taken? Or have I seen Child’s Play one time too many?
