I realize I never wrote my thoughts regarding any of the previous books in the Dorothy Must Die series of novels. With The End of Oz being the fourth and (presumably) final book in the series, I think it’s safe to say I enjoyed them. Please, do yourself a favor and read them before picking up this one. Please and thank you.
Title: The End of Oz
Author: Danielle Paige
Published: 2017
Okay… I have to ask (and, Danielle Paige, if you’re reading this, I’d love an answer), is this really the end of Oz? I mean… I’m not giving any spoilers here, but the end is kind of a cliffhanger.
And I have the version that Barnes & Noble was selling, which claims to have an exclusive with the epilogue found AFTER the end of the book. And the epilogue reads like it could be the first chapter of the next book. So is there going to be a next book?
If there is, I’m definitely intrigued. I’d buy it. I’d read the crap out of it.
Anyway, I’ve enjoyed every book in this series. The scope of this one, compared to previous installments, seemed smaller in some way. But I did love the way that Paige decided to wrap everything up for the characters involved. Though, I guess I do have another question to ask, but I won’t do that here because it would be a huge spoiler. Therefore, Ms. Paige, if you’re reading this, feel free to grant me an interview. I mean, it wouldn’t be anything official. Just something I’d post on my blog. I don’t want to brag, but I do have dozens of regular readers.
I digress. The book was entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love most things Oz, and I really loved her take on the stories. All in all, it’s worth picking up.
