Question of the Week #31

If you knew there would be a nuclear war in one week, what would you do?

I think the most helpful thing I could do would be to get a big sandwich board to wear with the words “The End Is Nigh” painted on it. Then I’d walk around downtown ringing a bell and screaming that “the end is nigh!”

Question 31 - LovejoyReally, though, what can you do in a week? I mean, unless you’re a high ranking government official who could possibly avert this kind of disaster, what could you do but learn to stop worrying and love the bomb? But, it does beg the question, if I’m privy to the knowledge that there will be a nuclear war in one week, wouldn’t that imply that I am, in fact, a high ranking government official? Why am I not doing everything in my power to stop this tragedy? Wait… am I Jack Bauer in this scenario?

Question 31 - Jack BauerWho needs a week? I can stop this thing in a day!

  1. Honestly, I think I’d spend a lot of time in prayer.
Then I might head over to Scotland, gear up in a Wallace tartan kilt, paint half my face blue, and go around shouting, “…they may take our lives, but they will never take our FREEDOM!”
