Here’s a fun little game that you can play at home. Seriously, I hope you guys play along, this could be a lot of fun. But you have to follow five simple rules…
- Put your music player on random.
- Post the first line (or so, some are hard) from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
- Post and let everyone you know guess what SONG AND ARTIST the lines come from.
- Italicize the songs when someone guesses correctly (No lyric hunting! That’s cheating! We are on the honor system here!)
- After doing the first 20, listen to one more random song and post it as your title.
- Michelle, ma belle, these are words that go together well
- I touch the fire and it freezes me, I look into it and it’s black
- There’s a place that I know, it’s not pretty there and few have ever gone
- Forever could never be long enough for me to feel like I’ve had long enough with you
- Are those your eyes? Is that your smile? I’ve been looking at you forever but I never saw you before
- Did you get my message, the one I left while I was trying to condense everything that I meant in a minute or less…
- His after moan though cries, oh no, he’s building up a shine but he take it slow
- Hey Jude, don’t make it bad, take a sad song and make it better
- Two a.m. and she calls me ’cause I’m still awake
- Now I don’t wanna lose you but I don’t wanna use you
- Yo I am in the place where I come let go
- Oh life, it’s bigger, it’s bigger than you
- Risin’ up, back on the street, did my time, took my chances
- You shout it out, but I can’t hear a word you say
- Oh where, oh where can my baby be?
- Snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen
- She’s got a smile and it seems to me reminds me of childhood memories
- I see your face cloud over like a little girl’s and your eyes have lost their shine
- I could hardly believe it when I heard the news today
- I’ve never seen a diamond in the flesh
#8 Hey Jude by The Beatles
#9 Breathe by (I’d have to look it up)
#13 Eye of the Tiger by Survivor
#15 Last Kiss (Pearl Jam version?)
#16 Let It Go by Idina Menzel via Frozen
#20 Royals by Lorde
This is a lot harder than I thought, not knowing the opening bars of music! I know that I know #19, but it’s just out of reach…
