3,000th Blog Post Spectacular

Well, would you look at that? 3,000 posts. That’s a lot of words, a lot of thoughts, and a lot of time spent rambling on about who knows what. But, hey, if you’re still here reading this, I guess I must be doing something right. Or maybe you’re a glutton for punishment. Either way, I want to take a moment to thank all of you who have stuck around throughout the years, subscribing to the blog, reading, liking, and occasionally even commenting on my posts. You’re the real MVPs.

Now, let’s talk about what’s coming up on The Confusing Middle. As some of you may have noticed, my list of the 100 Best Movies I’ve Never Seen is finally winding down. It’s been a wild ride, watching all these films that I probably should have seen years ago. But fear not, dear readers, for I am on the hunt for suggestions for my next list of 100 movies to watch and review. So, if you’ve got an easily grouped-together list of 100 films that you think I’ve missed out on, feel free to let me know in the comments. Just, please, no more silent films from the 1920s. I’ve had my fill.

In other news, I’m also nearing the end of my Tuesday rewatch of the original Quantum Leap series. It’s been a nostalgic trip down memory lane, but all good things must come to an end. But don’t worry, I’ve got another classic series lined up to take its place. That’s right, folks, get ready for a weekly dose of a young Clark Kent in Smallville. I know, I know, Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum started their rewatch a couple years ago and are well into season 4 by now. I’m a little behind… Maybe I’ll catch up.

Now, I have a bit of sad news to share. The weekly Sunday Scribblings posts, where I invited other bloggers to participate by offering writing prompts, have come to an end due to lack of participation. It’s a shame, really, as I enjoyed reading the creative works of others, on those rare occasions when a blogger would bite. But, as they say, the show must go on. I will continue to post a fictional story each Sunday based on what would have been the Sunday Scribblings prompts. So, if you need a weekly dose of my questionable writing skills, you know where to find me.

I had grand plans for this 3,000th blog post spectacular, you know. I wanted to put together some sort of contest or giveaway, but then I realized that no one would probably care enough to participate anyway. Plus, I’m broke, so I can’t afford a prize worthy of such a milestone. Maybe for the 4,000th post, I’ll have won the lottery or something. Hey, a guy can dream.

But seriously, I want to take a moment to express my sincerest gratitude to all of you who have subscribed to The Confusing Middle and taken the time to read and like my posts over the years. It means the world to me, knowing that my words are reaching someone out there, even if it’s just a handful of people. You guys are the reason I keep writing, even when I feel like I’ve run out of things to say. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Here’s to the next 3,000 posts, and the 3,000 after that. Let’s see how long we can keep this confusing train rolling.
