Each Wednesday I post a new prompt here at The Confusing Middle. Be as creative as you want with the prompt and post something over on your own blog. Then come back here and leave a comment with your link so that everyone can check out your post and see your take on this week’s prompt.
This Sunday is Relaxation Day, so our prompt this week is Relax.
What do you think of when you see that word? What emotion does it invoke? What memory does it call back? What creativity does it inspire?
And just a quick question for everyone stopping by and seeing this post… I notice that a lot of folks click like on these Sunday Scribbling prompt posts, but only a handful of you respond on your own blogs. To those who like but don’t write a post, what’s stopping you? Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy you’ve stopped by and taken time to click that like button, but I wish you’d join in the fun! This is our opportunity to share each other’s blogs with the world and maybe find out something new about each other and learn about some new blogs that we should be following! Have some fun with it!
Be sure to encourage other bloggers to stop by and respond to the prompt. I look forward to seeing what you write!
I am guilty of liking the prompts and then not writing about them. I think most of the time I just can’t think of anything to write. Plus, I’m not a big weekend blogger and normally like to write my posts the night before posting them so that means I’d have to write on a Saturday night. (This is probably just a me thing).
All that being said, I saw this prompt and something immediately popped in my head and I told myself I’d participate. So, you can yell at me if I don’t.

Honestly, I don’t mean to call anyone out. I’ve just noticed a lot of likes but not a lot of participation. So I was just curious if there was something keeping folks from writing. And I completely get not being a weekend blogger. More often than not, I only force myself to do anything on the weekend because I’ve got a streak going.

It’s good to call people out sometimes haha. Personally, if I read a post, I’ll click the like button before going back to the Reader, just out of habit and to show support. I think that’s where a lot of likes and little participation might come from. Hold on to that streak! I didn’t realize until the other week, when I posted 3 days in a row, that WordPress would send me a notification acknowledging it. That was inspiring.

He gives us the weekly prompt on Wednesday. There is no rule/law that says we have to wait until Sunday to blog about the prompt. Sometimes my wifi won’t work and I don’t blog about one of his prompts until the wee-hours of the following Monday.

Ha! I know, I know. I’m trying to get better at writing posts days before I intend on posting them. It just comes down to a motivation thing for me. I realize it’s not an excuse.
