Amnesia comes in two forms: one in which you lose your memory of past events, another in which you no longer form new memories. If you took a bad fall and were to suffer one or the other, which would be worse?
I think, as long as you have someone like Adam Sandler to put together a “Previously on…” video for you each day, being unable to form new memories may not be too bad. So I guess I’ll say that losing your entire past would be the worse of the two options.
What do you think? Which version of amnesia would you rather have? As if one gets a choice… Let me know down in the comments!

I have been through a lot of bad and sad stuff in the past so I think I would probably welcome a fresh start with new memories.

I think I’d rather forget my past. Going the ‘Memento’ route just sounds too awful.

I agree! I’d rather be able to form new memories

I would like to forget my past, as long as it means I lose the trauma-related psych issues with it. If they are ingrained but I can’t remember why, then I can’t fix them.

Yep. Like the others said, I’d rather forget my past. I like thinking about a better future always- so the ability to make new memories would be well suited!
