Nine – Bloganuary

Welcome to Bloganuary. It’s this thing that WordPress is doing to encourage bloggers to post something every day by providing a regular prompt. I think that “Bloguary” would not only sound better but makes more sense. Maybe they’re saving that for next month. But if they go with Blogebruary I’m dropping out. Anyway, today’s prompt asks the question: What is your mission?

Hey friends, Aaron here with a post about my new mission in life. cue eye roll I know, how exciting can a mission statement be, right? Well, stick with me, because this one’s kinda funny.

See, lately I’ve been doing some soul searching. I took one of those online “find your purpose” quizzes and based on my answers, it told me my mission is to “bring joy and connection to the world through technology.” Noble cause and all, but c’mon – how generic can you get?

So I’ve decided to spice it up a bit. My new mission is to “bring sarcastic humor and meme references to as many conversations as possible.” Because let’s be honest, everything’s better with some comedy and dank memes mixed in. The world needs more lols.

I plan to carry out this mission by responding to everything with a healthy dose of snark and always knowing the latest viral meme. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade… and then squirt it in someone’s eye for laughs. You feel me?

Just kidding… don’t do that. Lemonade in someone’s eye can be seriously painful and could damage their vision. I can’t condone this action.

Anyway, my hope is that by being a little ridiculous, I can get people to crack a smile and momentarily forget how overly serious and negative everything seems lately. Laughter connects us and makes the world seem a bit brighter, even if just for a moment.

So that’s the sitch with my new life purpose. Let me know if you have any good meme suggestions or one-liner comebacks I can use to achieve my goals. And don’t be surprised if I respond to your comment with “Sir, this is an Arby’s.” You know, just spreading absurdity one interaction at a time.

Stay cheeky my friends!
