Flower

Because today is Water a Flower Day, our Sunday Scribblings prompt for this week is Flower. If you decide to write a post based on this week’s prompt, be sure to go back here and share your link so everyone can see how you interpreted things! Here’s what I did with it…

And I actually don’t have anything to share today. Flowers don’t really do anything for me. Nothing inspirational there…

I’m not a guy who likes to give people flowers as a thoughtful gift. Because they’re already dying and the shelf life is extremely limited. Doesn’t matter how pretty they are or how good they smell on day one. By next week they’re gonna look and smell like death. I’d probably be in trouble if I had a girlfriend because I’d never want to buy her flowers. If I ever do try to do the relationship thing, I hope to find a woman who also couldn’t care less about flowers.

And when I die, don’t send flowers. I’d rather people donate that money to some worthy charity.

Thanks to everyone who participated this week and shared your links! Please visit their blogs, give them a follow, and take a look at how they interpreted the prompt.

Be sure to come back on Wednesday for the next Sunday Scribblings prompt! Encourage other bloggers to challenge themselves with the prompt! Remember that there are no rules for what you write, other than responding to the prompt! You can write fiction, non-fiction, poetry, prose, biography, instruction… it’s all up to you!

  1. I honestly don’t like having fresh cut flowers in the house because they did so quickly. But I an always a little disappointed when a guy shows up for a first date without them LOL hypocritical I know! I did get a banana once on a first date LOL not sure that counts though hahahahahaha
