I dropped the ball.
This was my first week trying to bring back the legend that was once Sunday Scribblings and I dropped the ball.
It was just poor planning on my part.
For these prompts, I like to try and write some short piece of fiction. But I didn’t plan my posts out this weekend the way I needed to. Friday became something unexpected. I meant to move the Question of the Week back to Saturday, but I forgot… and wound up completely ruining Harry Potter for Becky (I’m still really sorry about that, BTW).
So my auspicious beginning with this new incarnation of Sunday Scribblings is about as inauspicious as it can get.
I do want to say thank you to everyone who chose to participate this first week. I hope you’ll come back week after week and share your words with us as these prompts continue.
That whole Mister Linky thing did not work the way I had hoped it would. I imagined that bloggers would click the link, input their names and blog links, and those links would automatically find themselves in the original post. But it didn’t do that. Everyone can still click back on the Mister Linky image and find all the links that people have left.
But who wants to backtrack every week? So at the bottom of this post (and every one of my Sunday Scribbling responses), I’ll include the list of all the links that I get from Mister Linky. At least, that’s how I’ll do things until I find a more suitable means of sharing everyone’s links. I’ll do some research. And if anyone out there has a good suggestion, please let me know. Sunday Scribblings isn’t just for me, it’s for all of us who want to share our creativity.
Again, thank you to all who have participated this week and thank you for your patience as I try to work out all the kinks. Maybe week two will run a little more smoothly.
