Have you ever come across people that you could tell had a deep voice just from looking at them?

There’s a customer that came into the bank pretty regularly who was like that. At first glance you could see that he was the kind of guy that just had a really deep voice. And then he spoke.

His actual voice didn’t destroy the stereotype that I’d managed to place him in. He went way beyond that. This man’s voice was so deep it almost sounded unnatural. His voice would put Darth Vader to shame. His voice would frighten the little demon-possessed girl from The Exorcist.

When I was doing his transaction once, I half expected to see a little old man behind a curtain off to the side, then hear this guy claim to be “Oz, the great and powerful.” I got chills. They’re multiplyin’.
