Welcome to the eighth event of The Blogger Games III! Today, we’re testing your ability to collaborate and blend different blogging styles. Your challenge is to team up with another participant and create a unique crossover post that combines both of your blogging niches or styles.

Event Details:

• Duration: 12 hours
• Submission Deadline: Friday, 9:00 PM EDT

Rules:

1. Collaboration:
   • You must partner with another participant in The Blogger Games III.
   • If there’s an odd number of participants, one group of three will be allowed.
2. Topic:
   • Create a blog post that combines elements from both (or all three) collaborators’ usual blogging niches or styles.
   • The post should be coherent and appealing to both of your typical audiences.
3. Content Requirements:
   • Word count: 1000-1500 words
   • Must include at least one image (created, edited, or selected collaboratively)
   • Must include contributions from all collaborators
4. Structure:
   • Clearly indicate which parts were written by each collaborator
   • Include a brief introduction explaining how you approached the collaboration
5. Submission:
   • Post the entry on one collaborator’s blog
   • The other collaborator(s) should post a link and brief excerpt on their blog
   • Include the hashtags #BloggerGames2024 and #CrossoverChallenge in all posts
   • Comment on the official event post with links to all collaborators’ posts

Scoring System:

Entries will be judged by an objective third party based on the following criteria:

1. Seamless Integration (0-25 points):
   • How well are the different blogging styles or niches blended?
   • Does the post feel cohesive despite the different elements?
2. Creativity in Combination (0-20 points):
   • How innovative is the approach to combining the niches/styles?
   • Does the collaboration result in unique insights or perspectives?
3. Quality of Writing (0-20 points):
   • Is the post well-written and engaging?
   • Does it maintain a consistent quality throughout?
4. Effective Collaboration (0-15 points):
   • Is there a balance in contributions from all collaborators?
   • How well do the different parts complement each other?
5. Appeal to Combined Audience (0-10 points):
   • Would the post be interesting to readers from both/all niches?
   • Does it successfully bridge the gap between different audiences?
6. Visual Element (0-10 points):
   • How well does the image enhance the post?
   • Does it reflect the collaborative nature of the challenge?

Total possible points: 100

Scoring will be done by an objective third party. Results for this event will be announced Saturday morning at 9:00 AM EDT, along with the reveal of the 9th event.
