Rules:
- Topic: Write a script for a 2-3 minute video that has the potential to go viral. The video must be related to blogging, social media, or online content creation.
- Format: Your submission should include: a) A catchy title for your video (max 10 words) b) A brief description/pitch for the video (max 50 words) c) The full script, including any on-screen text, actions, or visual cues
- Script Requirements:
- The script should be 300-500 words long.
- Include clear instructions for what should be seen on screen.
- Dialogue (if any) should be clearly marked.
- On-screen text or graphics should be noted in [brackets].
- Content Guidelines:
- The video concept should be original and creative.
- It should be engaging and have potential for wide appeal.
- The content must be appropriate for all ages.
- Humor, emotion, or educational value are encouraged.
- Submission:
- Post your entry on your blog.
- Include the hashtag #BloggerGames2024 and #ViralVideoChallenge in your post.
- Comment on the official event post with a link to your entry.
Scoring System:
Entries will be judged by an objective third party based on the following criteria:
- Viral Potential (0-30 points):
- How likely is the video to be widely shared?
- Does it have a “hook” that grabs attention quickly?
- Creativity and Originality (0-25 points):
- Is the concept unique and innovative?
- Does it present information or entertainment in a fresh way?
- Script Quality (0-20 points):
- Is the script well-written and easy to follow?
- Are the visuals and actions clearly described?
- Relevance to Blogging/Social Media (0-15 points):
- How well does the video relate to the world of blogging or social media?
- Does it provide value to content creators or their audience?
- Technical Feasibility (0-10 points):
- Could this video realistically be produced?
- Is it achievable within a reasonable budget for a content creator?
Total possible points: 100
Reminder:
Scoring will be done by an objective third party. Results for this event will be announced Friday morning at 9:00 AM EDT, along with the reveal of the 8th event.
