Welcome to Bloganuary. It’s this thing that WordPress is doing to encourage bloggers to post something every day by providing a regular prompt. I think that “Bloguary” would not only sound better but makes more sense. Maybe they’re saving that for next month. But if they go with Blogebruary I’m dropping out. Anyway, today’s prompt asks the question: What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?
I’m a day late on this one… Completely forgot to write this post yesterday. What can I say? It was a busy day…
Now I know a lot of you probably expect me to say I enjoy thrill-seeking adventures or globetrotting travels (yeah, right!). And sure, those things are fun I guess. But if I’m being real with you all, at the end of a long day, nothing beats firing up the PlayStation. I’m talking hours of uninterrupted gaming time with my favorite virtual worlds. My trusty PS5 controller is like an old friend, ready to accompany me on epic quests or sports championships.
If I ever manage to peel myself off the couch, I might break out the Lego next. Yes, you heard that right – this grown man still loves his Lego. I find few things more satisfying than the snap of bricks coming together to create something new. Following those picture instructions is like meditation for me. And if I accidentally step on a brick barefoot at 2am on my way to grab a snack? Well that’s just part of the experience, folks.
And last but not least, nothing brings me more joy than chilling on the couch with my dog Krypto. He’s my ride or die snuggle buddy. Whether we’re napping or I’m teaching him new tricks, hanging with my four-legged pal always makes me happy.
So there you have it friends, those are my favorite downtime activities. PlayStation marathons, middle-aged Lego time, and couch cuddles with Krypto the super-dog. Rock on.
Let me know in the comments what you kids like to do for fun! I’m curious to know.
