You have arranged an evening with a friend, but on the day preceding your date a special opportunity arises to do something much more exciting. How would you handle the situation?
Knowing myself the way I do… I’d probably do neither. At least, I’d want to do neither. Being social? Doing exciting things? That doesn’t sound like me at all.
No… I don’t get to hang out with friends too often. So if I’ve made plans to do something with someone who I actually consider a friend, I’m gonna stick to that. If some special opportunity that’s more exciting comes up, I may suggest to my friend that we adjust our plans and take advantage of whatever this opportunity may be.
Example: If my friend and I are just planning to have lunch, but we’re presented with a chance to become the world’s first time travelers, I’d suggest we put off lunch to take a spin around the space/time continuum.
What about you? Are you willing to cancel plans with a friend because something else came up? Let me know in the comments!
